Medicare medical and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner telehealth visits from home are not available during the federal government shutdown. Medicare will continue to pay for mental health appointments from home with behavioral health counselors (our Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Professional Counselor) through Jan. 1, 2026. It’s likely the rules will go back to normal once the shutdown ends – but it is safe to assume these rules will stay in place for at least the month of October. In the meantime affected medical and psych nurse practitioner patients have the option of rescheduling telehealth appointments as in-person appointments or pushing back telehealth appointments until November.

For a need that is not an emergency, but can’t wait until we are open to call, dial your center to be connected to the provider on call. We also offer advice for dental emergencies (both infections and accidents) when offices are closed. For emergencies call 911 immediately!
